Jan. Vision Night: "Everything is Lined Up for Your Future"

Thursday, January 10, 2008

It's easy to at times get discouraged - to wonder if we are really going to make it towards our destiny - to feel that perhaps it just isn't going to work out....or maybe we haven't "done enough" and somehow derailed ourselves from God's best. Maybe it works out for "other" people because they have what it takes - but we feel we are always just falling short....and we wind up settling for less.

When we look at Abraham and Sarah - we can be encouraged that in every season, God has a plan to keep us on course and moving forward. Because ultimately it's not up to us, God has bound himself to His Word - and because of that He is going to see to it that HE fulfills it. As long as we do our part - believe - God has everything already lined up for your future. You don't have to worry, or put all this pressure on yourself. You don't have to wonder why great things are happening to those around you. God has a "set time" for your divine destiny to come to pass, and nothing can keep it from happening as long as you stay in faith.

Abraham must have been in a tough place, maybe anxious if God was really ever going to come through - because we see in Genesis ch. 20 that he lied to Pharoah about his wife so he would be kept safe. We don't know, by lying, maybe he was even hoping Pharoah would impregnate Sarah - because Abraham felt inadequate. Have you ever felt you don't have what it takes to do all God has said to you?

God is not intimidated by our feelings of insecurity. He will somehow get involved, and make SURE His plan comes to pass. He will heal you, strengthen you - complete in you all that's needed for the road ahead. God appeared to Pharaoh in a dream - and very seriously got the situation worked out. In fact, Abraham and Sarah left blessed with increase, despite their mistake (ch. 20:16).

But I don't see much happening! I've been faithful, and expectant!

"For Sarah became pregnant and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time..." There are divine appointments with destiny in your future - but you can't hurry them along. You might as well enjoy where you are right now! Because be assured, your set times are coming.

Make a renewed commitment to not be anxious, not be worried about your future - about what's going to happen with your relationships, your job, your home, your life! God knows exactly how to get you on, and keep you on - His perfect path.

"The Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for her as He had promised."

What has the Lord promised you? Refuse to fear, because God is going to do it!

Your word was straight from the mouth of God to my ears, heart and spirit. I see the awesome move of God over you & Harrison and my heart is leaping for joy. The power along of you two on stage together this Sunday made that word all the more timely. I am so overjoyed to be under that anointing and I am soaking up it all up. My heavy load is definitely lightened by what God is doing in your lives. I love you and Harrison for your dedication and faithfulness. Thanks!!!
