Sunday Debrief

Every Sunday that I have the opportunity to lead, I am hit broadside with my own weakness and humanity and yet, He shows up. He doesn't hold my lack of perfection against me. He doesn't withhold himself. His goodness far exceeds my expectation each and every time. I'm in awe that we can boldly come into His presence. Isn't that such an awesome thought? Hebrews 4: 16 says "Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]."

In return, we can offer up what we have in our hands to bring Him glory. There was such a unity yesterday as each of you offered up the gifts that God has given you to bring Him praise. There was such a sweetness.
