I was so paranoid during the altar song yesterday that I would somehown knock over the cross that Pastor had used as a sermon illustration. I kept having visions of myself getting lost in "At the Cross" and raising my arm and knocking over the cross. It was enough to keep my eyes open, that's for sure.

As I was thinking about that, God showed me that often times that's how I live my life. In fear that my actions would somehow be just too much for God to forgive. In a flash, I realized that I'd been living in fear that I could somehow negate the power of the cross in my life. It's funny what God can use to break through to you, isn't it? I've spent a long time trying to qualify for the grace of God and personally hold the cross in place. How silly is that?

His forgiveness and sacrifice are far greater than our sin and He is far more concerned that we pursue Him and His purposes for our lives than with the number of times we mess up.

Grace... Saviour... Deliverer... Love.... This is our God!
