What the Cross Offers

We sang "At the Cross" on Sunday and I was struck by the line " I know you love me"... that's such a HUGE revelation and yet I think we can often shrug it off... like I know you love me, like I LOVE m&ms... or you "love" me because you're God and that means you have to... That's not it at all....

The creator of the universe, savior of the world says that He loves you and He loves me. Then He allowed His actions to speak even louder than His words and He died on a cross. Wow! He doesn't love us so that we will live perfect lives under the law. His love frees us from the law and religion. We can live knowing we are loved beyond measure. He placed infinite value on your life when He sent His only son to take your place.
