Can you believe that Fall has already arrived? Beach days and BBQs may be done for now, but we want to know what you are most looking forward to this season? Is it the cooler weather, brilliantly colored leaves, apple picking, a special event or perhaps, Starbuck's Pumkin Spice Lattes?
Speaking of Starbucks... we'll be randomly selecting a winner from the comments we gather this week to receive a Starbucks gift card!
Contest ends Friday at noon and the winner's name and comment will be posted on Friday afternoon. Be sure to check back then and see if you won!

I love the smell of fall. It hasn't arrived yet, that wonderful smell. But I know soon I will walk out my front door in the morning and I will smell it; the smell of God preparing for the roots to go deep. I am constantly reminded in fall time that though winter is cold and can sometimes feel like it lasts too long, after it is said and done I am rooted and grounded that much more in His righteousness. Fall is my FAVORITE! Great expectancy.
September 29, 2009 at 8:16 AMI also love apple cider and apple picking.
I loooove fall! Pretty much everything you listed up there is my favorite - the cooler weather, the leaves changing colors, hiking, and going to apple orchards. :) Fall is definitely my favorite season.
September 29, 2009 at 8:44 AMOh, and Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice ciders. ;)
Fall is the best time of year for me. There is something beautiful about seeing the many different trees and their colors. The colors we see during the fall are actually the colors of the leaves, it's just we don't get to see them the rest of the year because of clorofil in the leaves. I love this idea because fall is the season of truth. We see the true colors of the trees, we see with clarity. Plus the crisp cool air is so invigorating and it's also college football season. Go Penn State!
September 29, 2009 at 9:14 AMI agree with both Connie and Colleen! I love the way the air smells during fall; slightly damp with a hint of firewood smoke. I also love hiking and apple picking - and the baking that comes after apple picking.
September 29, 2009 at 9:15 AMBut there is one thing they haven't mentioned that I really really love about fall and that is . . . fall fashion! Boots, coats, cashmere . . .oh my! I love it all!
I love the cool weather. You know, I can only take that much of sun tan. So, being able to walk outside and enjoy the breeze is the best. Of course, I love apples, pumpkins, and squashes. Fall produce is the best! Can't wait to put pumpkin and apples in all kinds of dishes!
September 29, 2009 at 9:49 AMAnd yay, it's my first post ever!
There is so much I love about the fall and what I am looking forward to: the cool breeze, eating lots of pumpkin pie (and then going to the gym to work it off), Pumpkin spice Latte's at Startbucks, apple picking, cooked pumpkin seeds, the colorful leaves on the trees, making apple pies...oh there is so much to do...
September 29, 2009 at 11:15 AMI hate the fall. Leaves fall on the ground all over the place, and when it rains, become slippery ("slippy" if you are from Pittsburgh), unnavigable, sidewalk challenges. Once summer ends, I'd say, bring on winter and the snow. Fall is the time where the weather cannot decide whether to be warm or cold. Indecisiveness kills. All the mice, rats, and roaches move inside and harass you. It gets dark earlier; reminding you "you better hurry up and do what you have to do, or else it will get dark and you'll end up slipping on wet leaves on the ground!"
September 30, 2009 at 7:48 AMThough I do like football season !
Bring on WINTER, so I can hit you in the eye with a snowball !!
