Hey Team!
What an AMAZING weekend! The Leadership Breakfast was off the hook. What an exciting opportunity to hear the vision of CCC straight from our leaders. Reminding us again of what it's all about... " Leading people to become FULLY DEVOTED followers of Christ". That's why we get up early, listen to songs over and over again, lift speakers over our heads, don't go "office space" on equipment when it acts up, pursue harmony in our relationships and are committed to creating an irresistible atmosphere. We do it all because we believe that when people encounter Jesus their lives will be forever changed!
Sunday morning was another AWESOME service at CCC! PDonna really broke down what it means to be planted versus just a spectator in the house of God. There is HUGE blessing available to us when we put down roots. That's a challenge for each of us... are we sitting on top of the soil of our local church or are we pushing down deep into the soil of the house? If you missed it, check out the podcast, here!
Again, I was just reminded of what a privilege it is to do what we do! How amazing to be able to lead people into the presence of God. It really makes our small sacrifices so worth it.
Just like PDonna said ...
"The house is not built on the gifts and talents of a few, but on the sacrifice of many."
Can you share some stories of how your life has flourished when you allowed Him to plant you in the local church?

I would have to say that nothing helped my roots go deep like the five years that I worked the VMM computer. Robert, Jen, Amanda, and myself made one crazy team. We used to carry the computer, AND the projector to and from GW campus every Sunday. We used PowerPoint to display the songs. We would have to type in the slide number and press enter in order to switch between songs, verses and the chorus. Everytime we added a song to the service we would have to update the "manual" that indicated the slide numbers.
September 29, 2009 at 9:57 AMThis being the system there were an awful lot more mistakes and interruptions to the flow of the service. It was so discouraging so many Sundays when we KNEW that we had interrupted people's ability to focus on the presence of God. But it was through this time of learning the craft, persevering, remembering grace and balancing it with the desire for excellence, being encouraged, encouraging team members, and remembering that God is the one who changes lives, and honors my desire to serve him in an excellent way that changed my life. I have been transformed by my opportunity to serve the Saints of God at CCC for all of these years.
I have been changed mostly by remembering that we are all saints that happen to sin, and not viewing my family as sinners who happen to be saved. We are forever a community of grace, extend it toward others, and receive it for yourself in the midst of your efforts to be excellent. I am continually learning this, and practicing.
